Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers rooms like a full-size apartment at a price suitable for Santa Barbara. Although the rooms are located in a separate building at the back, providing isolation, some can be under a stairwell, affecting the ambiance. The service, though accommodating and pleasant, lacks professionalism at times. The location, although not in the center, is near several visited places and is situated on a quiet street, a mile away from state street restaurants. The dining experience, while reasonably priced, can exceed expectations and offer the best meals on your vacation. The facilities are adequate but vary in quality.
The hotel felt more like a budget hotel suite than a luxury accommodation. Our room was facing the street, above the restaurant, and located at the end with our balcony overlooking a bird cage and one window over the stairway. Despite a bad smell, which we didn't bother to change rooms for since our stay was just for one night, the room was clean and comfy.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room, although spacious and well-appointed, had an outdated smell and lukewarm water from the coffee maker. The service was exceptional, with friendly and accommodating staff going out of their way to assist. The location, while a bit away from downtown, offered easy access to various attractions. The dining options were limited to a cafe independent of the hotel. The facilities, though in need of renovation, provided essential amenities for a satisfactory stay.
The hotel was surprisingly spacious and quiet, with air-conditioned rooms that exceeded our expectations. The lobby had a cozy vibe, one room featured a queen bed while the other boasted a king bed.
The hotel had an odd layout in the rooms with outdated amenities but the staff was efficient and friendly. The location was ideal for some and a bit far for others. Dining was not available on-site but offered nearby. Facilities were basic with some issues like stains in various areas.
The hotel had rooms that lacked some amenities like a safe, microwave, or coffee maker, even though they were supposed to be included. The glassware was a nice touch, but finding my room below a stairwell was not ideal. The staff, although pleasant, seemed poorly trained and even rude at times. However, the hotel's quiet yet central location was a plus, despite the congested downtown neighborhood. The dining options were lovely but seemed more geared towards locals. The presence of a kitchen and breakfast nook in the apartment-like room was a nice touch, but the hotel was a bit far from the town center. Overall, a mixed experience with some positives and negatives.
